Biscon Planning have put together a training package aimed at both managers and front-line staff that seeks to:
· Better understand causes of conflict, potential flashpoints and how these can be avoided.
· How to de-escalate conflict and seek to gain influence in a sustainable way based on trust.
· Develop Communications Skills to promote cooperation and collaboration and help to deal more effectively with challenging individuals or groups.
· Personal Safety and Resilience.
The course is based on extensive experience from 30 years in law enforcement including 2 decades involved in hostage and crisis negotiating. We have taken these core skills used to diffuse life threatening situations and demonstrate how they can be applied to wider conflicts. These could be at the strategic level dealing with challenging stakeholders or at the operational level with aggressive tenants or customers.
The courses are designed to run for half day with groups up to 20 and involve a combination of front loading, discussion and role play to develop and embed the skills. They are bespoke to each client based on their reality and are accompanied with supporting material to help remind and support employees through challenging situations in the future.
